Cooling water piping of a certain wire rod manufacturing plant

Effect verification of red rust turning into black rust.

This factory has only been in operation for 8 years, but due to the influence of bacteria growing inside the pipes, the formation of red rust has progressed significantly, leading to frequent leaks, which required the pipes to be replaced each time. As a countermeasure, we installed the "NMR Pipe Protector." Since then, there have been no occurrences of leaks, and the analysis results of the amount of black rust showed that the percentage of black rust in the rust before installation was 1.9%, which increased to 66.9% after 14 months of installation, proving the blackening of red rust.

Cooling water piping for large commercial facilities

Effect verification of red rust turning into black rust.

Due to significant concerns about the corrosion of the cooling water piping, a "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed as a countermeasure when the facility was 43 years old. Analysis of the amount of black rust after installation demonstrated that the "NMR Pipe Protector" effectively prevents the progression of red rust and promotes the formation of black rust. The amount of black rust before installation was 2.0%, but it increased to 48.2% after 10 months of installation, confirming the reduction of red rust to black rust. If the "NMR Pipe Protector" continues to be used in the future, the piping will not need to be replaced as long as external corrosion does not occur.
